Dr. Carol McCall grew up in Ozark and St. James, Missouri. She graduated from the University of Missouri in three years, and completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri School of DentalMedicine in 1978. She joined the U. S. Air Force as a dental officer, and spent the next ten years in locations as diverse as Germany and Las Vegas. During that time, she was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and the Commendation Medal. In 1986, she earned her Endodontic Specialty Certification from Tufts University in Boston, MA. She left the Air Force after the birth of her first child, and moved to Springfield to open an endodontic practice in 1988. Dr. McCall earned Board Certification in 1991.
Dr. McCall is currently a member of the American Board of Endodontics, American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontics, Missouri Dental association, the Greater Springfield Dental society, and works with the Veterans Administration. In the past she served for several years on the governing board for the Tooth Truck.
Dr. McCall met her husband, Neil, in college, and they have been married 38 years. They have two grown sons and one grandson.
Dr. McCall is an active member of Schweitzer United Methodist Church, and enjoys hiking, movies, Cardinals baseball and playing with her grandson.
Tracy Lockhart has been with our office since she was 18 years old, with a break of several years to run her own business. She is the office manager and the first person you will meet. She is expert in dental insurance, appointments, Care credit, and can answer almost any question you have. She has two sons, who are active in band, archery, hunting, fishing, singing, and keep her active, too. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Brian.
Jodie Smith-McIntosh is the primary assistant. She and her husband have a four year old son, two Indian runner ducks, three dogs, chickens and any other pets her son finds in the woods and streams around their house.
